If you're in San Francisco and craving authentic Chinese takeaway, Hing Lung Company is an absolute must-visit. Nestled at 927 Post St, this hidden gem specializes in a diverse array of Hong Kong-style dishes that will not only fill your belly but also bring a smile to your face.

This takeaway spot is renowned for its masterfully prepared congees, a comforting staple in Chinese cuisine. Whether you're opting for the Cherry Stone Clam Congee or the robust Fresh Sliced Fish with Meat Ball Congee, the velvety texture and rich flavors are sure to transport you to culinary bliss. For those seeking a more varied palate, the Hing Lung Special Congee is a delightful mix that showcases an impressive array of seafood, making it an indulgent option.

The rice in hot pot offerings really stand out, too. Dive into the Preserved Meat with Rice in Hot Pot or the flavor-packed X.O Sauce & Seafood with Rice in Hot Pot, both of which swirl together layers of savory goodness that will warm your soul. The community loves the Pork Ribs & Chicken with Rice in Hot Pot, with its tender meats and fragrant rice.

Real customer experiences echo the essence of Hing Lung Company perfectly. One delighted patron, Jordan J.K.A, expressed their amazement with the roast duck and char siu combo, which they creatively turned into a noodle dish, exclaiming it was 'flavorful and tender.' Meanwhile, another satisfied customer, Joe S, reminisced about the 'BEST duck' he has ever encountered, emphasizing the freshness and depth of flavor—a sentiment that resonates throughout many reviews.

However, it’s essential to note that quality often comes with a price. While some customers, like Jordan J.K.A, pointed out the recent price increases, many others, like Eric, believe the flavors and the absence of MSG make it well worth the investment. As Alisa B. wisely noted, although the duck was slightly salty for her taste, the richness of flavors left an unforgettable impression.

The atmosphere may feel more like a bustling hole-in-the-wall than a fine dining restaurant, but that's part of its charm. It’s a place where the focus is squarely on the food. With friendly service that makes you feel right at home, Hing Lung Company is more than just a takeaway spot; it’s a lovely intersection of culture, warmth, and flavor, promising a meal that satisfies both heart and palate. Whether you're indulging after a long day or fueling up for a culinary adventure through Chinatown, this restaurant is a tasty stop you won't want to overlook.

So, the next time you find yourself wandering through San Francisco, make sure to bring your appetite and allow Hing Lung Company to serve you a feast that you won't soon forget!

Inflation sucks! Bought 3 meat rice for 23 bucks. Cost only $13 two years ago. That's 10 bucks increase! Ordered pork belly, Roast duck and char siew. Came with rice and veggie and 4 sauces. Roast duck was good. Char siew was yums. But for USD23 bucks......a bit pricey... Maybe just roast duck or 2 meat rice next time...can forgo the pork belly. Maybe Hing Lung should put up the prices for 1 meat, 2 meat and 3 meat rice next time, like they used to do. Just a suggestion.

Best char siu (barbecue pork) and roasted duck in SF! We got half duck and half pound of char siu and made noodles with them! Love how lean yet tender and flavourful the meat is. Staff were super helpful and friendly! Would definitely go back!

Ok, this place actually lived up to its reputation for tasty Hong Kong Style BBQ. Too many places are rated by foodies and most have no idea what good Chinese food is supposed to be. This BBQ meats are pretty close to what I used to get when lived in Hong Kong. Wish it’s a little cleaner and less hole in the wall. Get the char siu and roasted pork belly.

If there was an option for 10 stars you'd be getting it! I was away for business and discovered the BEST duck ive ever eaten! All the vegetables were amazing too, and the duck wings! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best Roast Duck I’ve had in the city! It tastes even better knowing no MSG is used! I got the Half Roast Duck over Rice with Bok Choy plate. Au Jus and Plum Sauce included! That Plum sauce is heavenly! It runs about $20 (in person) but it’s worth it.

All over social media, people are saying this place has THE BEST roast duck in the country! So I had to check it out for myself.... I got half a duck and this was plenty for my boyfriend and I to share. If I'm being picky, the duck was on the salty side. However, it's very flavorful and savory. Not very sweet like other places. The duck pieces didn't have a ton of meat on them, but the pieces that had more meat were pretty juicy. Overall, not the best duck I've had - but definitely good quality! I'd recommend it to those visiting SF Chinatown.

I almost missed the best food in China town. We came for Chinese New Year. One weekend is not enough time to enjoy all the food and festivities. After waiting in that long line for Good Mong Kok Bakery. I did not have time to go here but something turned me around. I’m so thankful I had the chance to try such delicious food! The flavors are outstanding. The best food I had all weekend. Probably the best meal I’ve had since leaving Okinawa. This is a great meal to grab before the ferry too. I was in such a rush to get back to my hotel, grab bags and run to the ferry. I didn’t get a bite until two hours later. Cold food doesn’t ever taste this good! Again the flavor of the pork belly, veggies and rice were so delicious. I’m not sure what sauce I got (but it didn’t need it. Everything was umi) brought a whole new flavor to this dish. It kept getting more delicious. I really appreciate the younger brother recommending the pork belly he just brought out. I love Okinawian pork belly (which is a completely different way of cooking and flavors than this) so it sounded great to me. Now I want to go back and try all of their food Wishing them an amazing New Year and lots of well deserved success. Tip-if you have kids, there is an incredible park close by to have a picnic at. Willie Woo Woo Wong playground. Also don’t forget to stop at some of the great Chinese Museums in Chinatown.
